Back Acne

Many people who have acne find that the problem is not restricted to their face alone. Many sufferers of the disease also find themselves plagued by additional acne on their chest, shoulders, and especially the back. Back acne typically concentrates around the upper shoulders, but has been known to spread much further across the back. This problem can affect both adults and teenagers who suffer from acne, and needs to be treated with the same attention to using the correct products as does facial acne. Only by implementing a strong skin care regimen for your acne can you hope to bring it eventually under control.

Back acne can often be embarrassing, and many people want to do everything in their power to try and eliminate it. The only advantage offered is that the skin on the back is much less delicate than the skin on the face. This means that some of the body washes and scrubs that are intended for use on the back instead of the face can contain a higher concentration of active ingredients in order to be more effective at fighting your acne. It is very important if you suffer from back acne to use a body wash or cleanser that is designed from that purpose though, rather than simply continuing to wash with simple bar soap. Bar soap is harsh and drying most of the time and, in many cases, can actually further irritate your skin rather than helping to reduce your acne at all.

Back acne is something that can be controlled and cured. The main means to go about doing this is by being careful to regularly cleanse with an acne specific or oily skin specific body wash in order to help you cleanse your skin properly and reduce the buildup of oil which will be causing clogged pores and acne on your back. This isn't something that will happen overnight, but with the proper use of a high quality skin care products almost everyone that suffers from acne reports seeing an improvement of some kind in the severity of their condition, often with it disappearing altogether after following their treatment plan for a period of time.
